Jesus told his disciples that being his follower wasn't going to be easy - it would be a challenge and would take commitment and hard work. After all, it required a completely different way of thinking, a different set of values, a completely new attitude. He taught that his disciples should put everybody else before themselves, that they should love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength. Over 2000 years later, this challenge for Jesus' followers isn't any easier, especially if we try to do it alone. That's why we have Discipleship Groups for people who really want to grow deeper in their faith.
Our discipleship groups are a smaller, more intentional place for people to challenge one another to become more like Jesus. In these groups of three to five people of the same gender, people authentically share their victories and struggles in life, study the Bible together, encourage one another to live a life of impact on the world, and they pray for one another. Meeting weekly or bi-weekly at any time and location that works for the group, these groups require a high level of commitment, trust, and a willingness to speak into each others lives. Together, everybody grows more into the image of Jesus.
