ARKids

Children are an important part of Ashworth Road.  The mission of our children's ministry is to help children begin and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by partnering with families in nurturing and developing young spiritual leaders who will be the presence of Christ in their community and throughout the world.

The Biblical foundation of the children's ministry at Ashworth Road can be found in Mark 10:14.  Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

ARKids Events

Sunday Mornings

9:15 AM - Grab you seat belt, buckle up, and join ARKids every Sunday morning at Kids Quest for K-5th graders.  We are taking a trip out of this world to learn about some of God's promises that are true for YOU!  We have a specially designed place for kids and it is incredible!  We want to see kids enjoy coming to church and hang out with their friends while realizing that learning about God is SUPER fun!  During this time we also offer a Nursery for birth to age 2, a Toddler class for 2-year-olds, and a Pre-K class for 3 - 5 year olds.

10:45 AM - During our Classic worship service, we also provide a nursery for children birth to age 2, a toddler class for 2-5 year olds, and Kids Quest for K-5th graders.  However, children (K-5th) are encouraged to worship with their families during the adult worship time, and then are dismissed to Kids Quest before the sermon begins.  During this time, children are taught Bible stories and Bible truths through a variety of media, including music, art, games, and activities.

Kids Quest

First Time at Kids Quest?

The ARKids check-in station is located in the foyer, where your child will be checked into our database system.  Once your child is checked in, one of our volunteers will be happy to show you to the kid's area.  You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit.  Your child will need to wear the name tag portion of your matching identification tag, which bears a code that is matched to your portion during checkout at the end of the service.  During checkout, you will return to your child's room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.  If for some reason your child needs you during the service, a volunteer will text you or come and get you.

What is Kids Quest?

Kids Quest is a hands-on kids ministry where the Bible is taught in a creative way for kids to come and learn about Jesus on their level and have lots of fun doing it!  We offer a safe, age appropriate environment each Sunday morning at 9:30 AM and 10:45 AM.

Who Attends Kids Quest?

Kids Quest is offered to kids birth through fifth grade. During the 9:30 Modern Service, we offer a Nursery for birth to age 2, a Toddler class for 2-year-olds, a Pre-K class for 3 - 5 year olds, and a high-energy worship and small group time for K-5th grades. ??The 10:45 Classic Service offers a Nursery for birth to age 2, a Toddler class for 2-5 year olds, and a high-energy small group time for K-5th grades.  However, children (K-5th) are encouraged to worship with their families during the adult worship time, and then are dismissed to Kids Quest before the sermon begins.
During both services, children are taught Bible stories and Bible truths through a variety of media, including music, art, games, and activities.  Come discover how learning about God is SUPER fun!

What is Available for Children with Special Needs?

At Kids Quest we are able to engage special needs kids with trained volunteers who lovingly serve them.  Every child matters to God and every child matters to us.

Relationships

Building peer relationships are important to us and we hope that kids will build and grow these relationships by attending the same service each week.  We also feel it's important for kids to relate to their group leaders and know that we value them.  Above all, we desire for each one to experience a real relationship with Jesus Christ and learn how to engage in a relationship with Him daily.

Safety

Safety is of high importance to us because families entrust us with their child each week.  Therefore, every child's name tag is matched to a parent identification number and every volunteer is screened with a reference and federal background check.

Special Events and Mission Opportunities

During the year, kids enjoy a variety of seasonal events and fellowship activities. The children also are offered local, national, and global mission opportunities such as serving meals in the metro area, church mission trips, and many other volunteer opportunities that arise throughout the year.
